Bold & Brilliant Collection
February 15 - May 7, 2021
Deans Hall Gallery, Georgia State University
My solo exhibition Faces of Genius was featured in the Deans Hall Gallery on Georgia State University’s Decatur campus. Curated in collaboration with Phillip Moser from GSU’s Art Department, the show highlighted 13 works from my Bold and Brilliant collection—mixed media portraits celebrating groundbreaking innovators throughout history. The exhibit invited viewers to explore the intersection of art, science, and storytelling.
Solo exhibit runs from February 15 - May 7, 2021
Faces of Genius Solo Exhibit
Faces of Genius is a solo exhibition featuring mixed media portraits that celebrate some of the world’s most influential thinkers and trailblazers. This series is called the Bold and Brilliant Collection. Through richly layered, biographical artwork, I honor individuals whose ideas and discoveries radically shaped our understanding of the world.
The exhibit includes portraits of Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Newton (recipient of the Rosemary Cox Prize for Art), two interpretations of Madame Curie, James Clerk Maxwell (including a piece now in the permanent collection of the James Clerk Maxwell Foundation in Scotland), Einstein, Feynman, and Katherine Johnson.
Each piece is deeply researched and visually curated to reflect the subject’s most groundbreaking contributions—translating scientific brilliance into compelling, approachable imagery. Rather than relying on textbooks or academic texts, I present these figures through an artistic lens that invites personal connection and encourages deeper reflection.
Ultimately, Faces of Genius inspires viewers to see these historical icons not as distant figures, but as catalysts for their own creativity and potential—and to recognize that the capacity for genius exists within us all.
