Maria Skłodowska-Curie

This striking mixed media collage honors Marie Curie—Nobel Prize-winning physicist, chemist, and wartime hero. Vivid imagery and atomic symbolism highlight her discovery of radium and polonium, her pioneering work in radioactivity, and her crucial role in developing portable X-ray units that saved countless lives during World War I. Curie was not only the first woman to win a Nobel Prize—and the only person to win in two different sciences—but also the only woman pictured at the 1927 Solvay Conference, seated in the front row alongside Albert Einstein. Her fearless pursuit of knowledge shattered barriers and continues to ignite change in science and medicine today.
