Srinivasa Ramanujan

This mixed media collage celebrates the life and legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the brilliant Indian mathematician whose intuitive grasp of pure mathematics led to groundbreaking work in number theory, partitions, and mock theta functions.

Despite little formal training, his ideas—later developed at Trinity College, Cambridge with G.H. Hardy—earned him a Fellowship at the Royal Society and made him the first Indian Fellow of Trinity.

The vibrant colors, layered textures, and 3D red beads reflect both his cultural richness and the bold complexity of his thinking. Ramanujan’s story was depicted in the film The Man Who Knew Infinity, and his work continues to influence modern fields such as black hole physics and string theory.
