Niels Bohr
This mixed media collage honors the brilliance and lasting impact of Niels Bohr, a visionary whose work laid the foundation for modern quantum physics. His 1913 atomic model introduced the revolutionary idea that electrons occupy fixed energy levels and can “jump” between them—a concept that not only reshaped atomic theory but helped pave the way for today’s technologies, including semiconductors, quantum computing, and advanced medical imaging.
Inspired by Bohr’s groundbreaking contributions, I created this piece using layered elements from his trilogy of scientific papers, spectral lines, and his principle of complementarity to reflect both the precision and imagination of his thinking.
