Virtual Artist Talk

My exhibit, "Faces of Genius," was a solo exhibition in the Deans Hall Gallery on the Decatur campus of Georgia State University.

The show ran from February 15 through May 7, 2021.

Artist Statement

I create biographical artwork that highlights great genius throughout the ages. Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Feynman, Curie, and Martin Luther King Jr. are just a few of the geniuses graphically represented by my artwork. Each work's contents are researched and curated to include the most notable works, awards, and accomplishments of an individual who radically changed the world. Traditionally, learning about these individuals requires extensive research, working with complex formulas or tenets of philosophies. My vision is to introduce these individuals artistically so that an observer is drawn into my artwork, asks questions about the elements, learns something, and leaves curious to know more. In this way, I hope to inspire people to explore the genius within themselves and realize everyone has a face of genius.

Mixed media collage on canvas.

The artist renders all design, painting, and stenciling.
