Madame Curie

Have you ever wondered who coined the phase "radioactivity?"

This bold, eclectic collage celebrates that person, Madame Curie. She was a trailblazer who had many firsts! She was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize (physics), the first person and only woman to receive a second Nobel Prize (chemistry), became the first female professor at the University of Paris, and discovered the elements polonium and radium. She saved thousands of soldiers lives with her portable X-ray machines during WW1.
